I am a graduate from Hawassa University with MSc Degree for Rural Development in 2015. I am also a graduate from Alemaya/Harramaya University in the department of Agricultural Extension in 2003 G.C with BSc Degree in Ethiopia. Currently I am working for UN OCHA South Sudan Humanitarian Fund as Monitoring and Reporting Specialist at Juba coordinating different clusters (sectors) in the country since December 2017. As a team of the unit I involved in the whole project cycle management process of the fund’s projects implemented by partners. The involvement started from providing inputs to clusters and working groups for prioritizing activities and locations recommended from previous project monitoring activities. I also involved in facilitating and attending Strategic review and technical review processes both for regular Standard allocations scheduled twice a year and Reserve allocations based on needs. As a team in the unit we develop monitoring plans based on the operational modality which is part of the Accountability Framework (Risk level of the partner, amount of budget allocated for the project and Duration of the project) for projects funded through these allocations. Review and clear project reports submitted from implementing partners either progress or final narrative reports are some of the tasks. I had been in FARM Africa as Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator (for country office) and Knowledge Management Coordinator at Head Office for Climate Smart Agriculture project implemented by 4 Consortium organizations from September 2016 to December, 2017. I was working for GOAL Ethiopia at Head Office and Hawassa urban project office in the position of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer starting from April 2013 to September 2016. I had been in Agriservice Ethiopia Dasenech and Burji Program Offices as Food Security Officer from January 2012 to April 2013. I had served CARE Ethiopia starting from Oct 2006 to September 2011(5 years) in different positions for South Gondar and Awash field offices as Extension Supervisor, Lead Community Facilitator, Early Warning Officer, Design, Monitoring and Evaluation, Learning and Knowledge Management Officer and acting LDM Head for CARE Ethiopia Awash Field Office in Afar Region. Before joining CARE, I have worked for Yirgacheffee Coffee Farmers Union as a Cooperative Manager for Edido Farmers’ cooperative for a year (Aug, 2005-July 2006. Prior to that, I had worked in Dilla ATVET College as Instructor for two years (Oct 2003-Sep, 2005). Given my previous and current experiences (More than 18 years) working with UN and NGOs in diverse posts and areas with well understanding of the subject areas of the post, I am very much confident to be one of the competent candidates for the post under consideration. I am familiar with various development approaches, have practical knowledge on participatory planning and monitoring tools, Data Management and acquainted with community mobilization techniques and how to establish effective partnership and working relationships with stakeholders.
