I (Sarvepalli Rama Rohini), began my career as a research associate with National University of Educational Planning and Administration
(NUEPA, formerly NIEPA) in 1992. Ever since, I have worked in Social Development Research Sector. Now it is close to 30 years, I conceptualize, design, and execute survey-based research following rigorous sampling procedure. I am well versed in Quantitative, Qualitative and PRA techniques for
collation of data. In my professional journey, I have undertaken research and the program/ schemes evaluation of the Government of India and the States, UN agencies supported programs, International NGOs, programs supported by Philanthropic organizations such as Gates Foundation, Dell Foundation, Omidiyar Network, Tata Trusts and many others supported programs based on Theory of Change. I have led many national level research and evaluation surveys in the thematic areas of Health, Education, Livelihoods, Financial Inclusion, Social Protection and their sub-themes. In all these thematic areas and
its sub thematic areas women is cross-cutting and main focus. Have collaborated on multi country projects. I have been consultant to World Bank, Care International (India Chapter), Plan International (India Chapter), Head of the Knowledge Management Unit at Child Fund International (India Chapter).
Head of the Program Assessment of Centre for Digital Financial Inclusion, a hub of the IFMR- KREA University. And consultant to many other NGOs. I have helped consulting organizations set up their Social Development Research Division.
I am a Doctorate in Political Science, with focus on Women Empowerment, from Department of Political Science, Jamia, Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. I graduated (M. Phil, MA ) in Political Science from Delhi University and graduated in Political Science.
