Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist with over ten years of working experience and interest in Program Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Citizen Agency, Local Governance, Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D), Public Service Delivery, Urban and Rural Water Supply and Sanitation. Working experience in Germany, Ghana, Netherlands and Tanzania.
Education
Carried out applied research and evaluations and provided advice and recommendations on ICT-based water service monitoring systems in Tanzania. Explored the factors influencing citizens’ reporting behaviour and willingness to register grievances using web based and mobile phone technologies as potentially powerful tools for individuals and small groups to monitor and improve the quality of health care and water services in Tanzania.
Experience
Developed monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks, developed indicators, and drafted and managed the implementation of protocols for data collection, manipulation, and analysis for outlining lessons of program implementation and reporting outcomes. Worked with 45 regional and district government health facilities in collecting facility-level pediatric HIV/AIDS data and trained data managers in the use of M&E systems and tools in Southern Tanzania.
Managed Daraja’s monitoring and research work, including developing and overseeing systems for the routine monitoring of programme activities and for regular reflection and learning.
Worked as national focal person for technical and management support for planning, implementation and coordination of Coastal Rural Support Programme (CRSP) in Lindi and Mtwara regions. CRSP aimed to improve the quality of life and social well-being of target communities through sustainable socio-economic interventions in food security, income generation, health and education.
