Dereck Moyo: Expert on Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning
Dereck Moyo has 17 years of experience in consultancy and development work and is an experienced Monitoring & Evaluation expert, a social scientist and community development specialist and researcher. Dereck has been an M&E expert in several program evaluation and baseline surveys commissioned by international NGOs such as World vison Zimbabwe, World Vision Lesotho, Christian Aid and GOAL Zimbabwe with funding support from DFID, USAID, EU and Irish Aid Program Fund. He has a BSc Agriculture Honours, BA Honours in Development Studies and MSc in Development Studies. Dereck has worked for international NGOs implementing development and humanitarian programs and the Government of Zimbabwe. He is a member of the South Africa Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SMEA). This work experience has sharpened Dereck’s skills to design and manage community development programs focussed on WASH, Livelihoods and Food and Nutrition Security. Dereck Moyo has extensive experience to design, implement and manage M&E systems for NGOs including developing evaluation instruments, lead and coordinate field data collection, analysis and reporting. Mr Moyo will be responsible for all the M+E related issues. He will be responsible for designing the tools for the contextual analysis in conjunction with the thematic experts.
