I have started working as a training and research coordinator with ICA in 1999 and gender and training officer for UNDP Nepal in 2001. I have worked with UNDP Nepal for nearly eight years, with UNFPA for five years and with UN WOMEN for one year in various capacities from Gender Officer, District Development Advisor, Monitoring and Social Mobilization Specialist and Development Coordinator, National Gender Advisor to National Consultant in both areas- disaster and development. I have worked as DRR planning consultant for AKF, Afghanistan and Gender Advisor in UNIRP, a DDR programme in Nepal. I have worked as a Gender and Vulnerable Groups Advisor with DFID Nepal for two and a half years. In a short term basis, I have worked with different organizations for designing and delivering training and designing and evaluation of projects. I have worked as an intermittent consultant with Oxfam GB Tajikistan as a lead consultant for Gender and Water Group and with ADB Nepal as an M&E Specialist for Establishing Women and Children Service Center under Nepal Police. I have a fabulous experience to assess, identify gaps and overlaps, analyze, build synergies and provide substantive inputs to design training, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. I have a very good command of best practices and programmatic interventions that reach women and vulnerable groups through collaboration and coordination for pro-women, pro-poor and pro-disadvantaged caste/ethnic groups.
