Job Title: Intern-International Proposal Support (IPS) – BD

International Business and Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI), a US-based international development consulting company, is seeking an Intern IPS, Business Development with experience to work in our Vienna, VA home office. This part-time position starts immediately. IBTCI is seeking a skilled professional who has previous experience in a similar role.
Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the BD team including transcribing meeting notes and formatting documents.
Assist with recruitment efforts including sourcing candidates for proposals, formatting CVs, and creating personnel bios, matrices, etc.
Provide proposal support including requests for information, project research, etc.
Prepare project descriptions.
Assist with BD Trackers
Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy files.
Any other duties as assigned.
At least 6 months of work experience in a high volume, fast paced work environment.
Full proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite.
Strong working knowledge of Google Drive.
Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
Excellent writing, research and organizational ability.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Oral and written fluency in English required, fluency in another language preferred.
Education: At least 2 years of college education in International Affairs, Economics, Business, English or other related area.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Previous international development business development experience.
Previous experience with USAID, USDoS, and/ or MCC preferred.
Knowledge in one or more of IBTCI’s service areas.
Strong working knowledge of Google Drive.
Working level proficiency in Spanish, French or Arabic.
Working Environment: Work is performed in a typical corporate office environment. IBTCI is allowing for temporary hybrid work because of COVID 19 in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area. This will be updated by the company.
Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that required the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: No travel is required.
Work Authorization: Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
