Chemonics seeks a User Experience Designer for the Global Technology & Infrastructure Division (GTID). The User Experience Designer is responsible for enabling an effortless employee experience across the products that Chemonics’ staff use. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understand Chemonics’ Enterprise Application ecosystem, integrations, and data movements between those applications to design a human centric and integrated user experience for global Chemonics staff.
  • Understand stakeholder and staff needs by interviewing and asking the right questions and translating them into intuitive UX designs
  • Understand Chemonics’ business processes as needed to inform the UX design
  • Understand pain points of global staff in using Chemonics’ applications and come up with effective and intuitive user experience solutions based on their location, technology, and bandwidth limitations
  • Conduct usability testing with staff for various applications and refine the wireframes and designs based on the feedback
  • Create workflows and mockups and provide expert evaluation of intangibles as well as develop well-crafted design artifacts.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Design, Development, Engineering, or related field is required
    • Eight years of Human Centric User Experience design experience with web sites, responsive mobile, desktop and browser-based applications required.
    • Experience interviewing business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement them without an analyst’s help
    • Experience designing screens and developing graphic artifacts with least one of the industry-standard design tools (Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, InVision, Adobe CC, etc.) required
    • Experience designing for and across multiple enterprise applications like SharePoint, CRM, Contracts Management, Learning Management, ERP, and custom applications within their technical limitations strongly preferred
    • Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Design, Development, Engineering, or related field is required
