Structure of the evaluation report

The standards that apply to an evaluation report outline the basic structure for the report and the types of information it must address; they do not prescribe a rigidly prescriptive approach. There are, however, certain standard elements.

  1. Abstract
  2. Brief background on the project and its logic
  3. Purpose, scope, and clients of evaluation
  4. Methodology
  5. Review of implementation
  6. Presentation of findings regarding the project performance
  7. Conclusions
  8. Recommendations
  9. Lessons learned
  10. Annexes
